LASIK at Advance Vision review

So its been 1.5month now from my surgery.

So far so good.

Sekarang nak throwback sket pengalaman berLASIK.

I finally gave in to the idea pasal mata ni dah tak mo kat contacts. Asal pakai je gatal semacam walopun dah buka fresh sets! Setelah 6 bulan bertahan pakai spek makchik murah Tesco tu, I finally decided for this surgery. (Itupun pasal ada a few friends feedback kata I ghupe cam makcik sgt bila pakai spek. Tak stylo gitu. Whatevea!).

I got to know about the place from an office colleague who did her LASIK last year. So first thing, survey harga. They offer 2 pakej:
1) RM3888 - For standard lasik. Yang ni menurut penerangan y diberikan staf, sesuai utk mereka yang power kurang 800.
2) RM5588 - premium lasik. Yang ni lebih advance la correction dia nanti. Seswai utk power lebih 800. Klo kurang 800 nk buat pn bole. Kira nnt mata superhuman la nanti bole tengok lebih jelas drp manusia biasa (takut plk la kang nampak pelik2 lak kan? )

Both pakej ni correction dia untuk rabun jauh and astigmatism skali. I hv a feeling harga pakej ni telah dtetapkan hasil nasihat pakar fengshui doctor ni (u know, all the '8' calls for more 'ong's). So anyways disebabkan I kedekuit I amekla pakej standard and seb baik power dlm 500+ je. Fuhhh! Sep duit.

First appointment I sampai lambat. Bru tau parking cam gampang je susah nk jumpe. Ciss lupa plak nk zikir 'ya razak' pasal confident ingat senang je puihh. So adelah dlm stengah jam gk pusing nk cari parking. Time2 ni berangan la ade drebar kan best.

So untuk first check up depa akan check mata kita compatible tak utk buat lasik. Test ni Free. After this check, staf akan explain la pasal ur current eyes condition - power, ketebalan cornea etc and whether ok tak nak buat Lasik, mainly determined by whether cornea cukup tebal tak untuk ditembak Lasik.

Klo ok, and u cakap nk proceed to next stage they will explain d lasik process and that u need to do another check. Yang ni kena bayar RM80.

Seterusnya berlakulah a series of appointment setting ; prelasik day, lasik day, post lasik 1 day, 1 week, 1.5month, 6month. Semua appointments bole drive sendiri except on Lasik day.

Before u go off from ur first appointment ni, kena bayar RM380 CASH. Rm300 booking lasik (non refundable) dan rm80 yg 2nd check td.
No credit card. Pffftt. Bru igt nk kumpul points.

Private Retirement Scheme ( PRS) Youth Incentive

Ni serius post sket. Pasal duit.

Ramai tak tau yang kita yang berumur 20-30 tahun boleh claim RM500 daripada kerajaan di bawah program insentif ini. Hanya perlu buka akaun dengan deposit RM1000.

Inisiatif kerajaan ini adalah untuk menggalakkan kita, terutama golongan muda untuk start savings for retirement kerna  kajian menunjukkan rata2 rakyat tak boleh sustain financially during retirement klo takat bergantung kt duit EPF.

On top of the extra RM500, anda juga bole dapat tax relief untuk simpanan sehingga RM3000. OK what??!!

Akaun PRS ni semacamlah EPF. Maknanya tak boleh bawa kluar duit sampailah umur persaraan 55 tahun. Dia juga ada akaun 1 dan 2, yang mana kita boleh kluarkan duit daripada akaun 2. Tapi ada penalti 8% of amaun yang dikeluarkan.

Tau BR1M je, tp tak layak pulak. So kalau layak yang ni, bukalah akaun. Tak rugi pun, nanti jadi duit kita bila bersara.

I dah buat since tahun lepas and dah dapat pun RM500 tu. Terima kasih kerajaan Malaysia! haha :)

Haaa...disebabkan aku pun pening pale cari waktu operasi tabung haji ni..kat website depa pun tak jumpa, so I nak post findings ni kt sini,

Nasi Lemak Kak Zue

Ni lah nasi lemak favourite kitaorang (hubby and me!). Rutin pagi sabtu memang kena pekena nasi lemak Kak Zue ni. 

Nasi lemak kak Zue yang bestnye sambal (of course!) and for me, I loooove the paru. Crispy and sweet. Klo lama tak makan macam gian skit pun ada. Tp baru-baru ni gi rumah BFF I dia serve paru sambal yang boleh tahan hebat juga. serius y tu pun sedap standard makan depan TV xsedar tau tau dah obes haha! (Yg tu update post lain lah). Hubby I pulak suka dia punya ayam rendang. 

So bagi yang tinggal sekitar Shah Alam boleh lah consider nasi lemak kak Zue ni.

Special parking for mums with kids at The Curve

OK... ni suratkhabar lama la (cite lama) tapi nak post gak mana tau ramai tak tau hihi.

Ade la dlm 2 bln lepas I pegi sopping kt The Curve and perasan yang depa ni dah buatkan parking khas untuk mak yang bawa budak2 kecik. HAA! Macam tau tau je target mak-mak yang dah nak gila perap kat rumah ni gian nak gi shopping sampai hangkut je anak2 sume. MACAMLAH I.

Serius I sangat kagum dengan arrangement The Curve ni. Parking ni siap ada special guard yang jaga and klo sopping banyak barang tak larat nak hangkut ke kereta ada buggy bole hantarkan. Haa..nampak kan permainan The Curve ni? Nak bagi kita takde alasan nak shopping!

Kaiser's 1st birthday

Hari ni nak share pasal Kaiser's 1st birthday aritu.

Nak cakap siang2 ye... memang birthday on a budget eh so xdela grand mana pun but Alhamdulillah with the right help it was a good event. I think and I hope everyone had fun and perut kenyang hihi!

So tema yang di pilih adalah SUPERBABY!

Kenapa superbaby? pasalnye kebetulan Kaiser ada baju Superbaby yg Nana dia beli kt Mekah masa g haji haritu. 

So apa y I prepare:

1) Makan - Kacang phool, laksa johor, Air jambu, air kosong, aiskrem, grapes, nugget cheese, pancakes n maple syrup. Yg tetibe ada org sponsor on that day - Profiteroles (ni mcm cream puff tp ada tambah choc kt atas dia. Sedap giler!), nutella brownie.

Birthday kek ikut tema Superbaby. Serius comel sayang nak makan!

 2) Invitation - ni send via Whatsapp je. Konon private la padahal budget so xle invite ramai2 haha

3) Deco - Banner, Balloons, ribbons, TQ stickers, Menu board, Direction board (tu je sempat huahua).

Kiddie Photolab review

I dah lama survey photo studio nak amek gambar family. So search online and yang convenient, I came across this Kiddie Fotolab. And they have groupon promo… they usually do anyways.

From online reviews generally OK with some warnings which I’ll summarize later together with my own experience.

So the Groupon promo we bought was RM48, entitles us to:

1 hr photo session

1 x 8R photo

3 x 3R photos

Something like this link la. Yang 3R photos tu you can request to change from all the other prints ie mug, wallet, greetings etc.

Overall rating: 2/5.

I was very disappointed with the service AND the product for these following reasons.

1. The whole process was too tedious! After shoot to receiving photos took 1.5 months!

After the shoot session, I waited another week to view the photos shortlisted. We had an appointment and I texted a day before asking if I could come earlier. Guess what… nasib I message cuz if not, my visit all the way from Shah Alam to Kota Dsara will be a waste sebab apparently Priscilla ( the lady boss) forgot to block my appointment in HER calendar. I have an appointment confirmation slip with me but it was useless if they didn’t block their calendar. So I had to postpone my appointment making total wait time to view photos after shoot as 1.5 week. Lepas tu, from the viewing of the photos, you select them and they need another month (non-nego) to process the photos. Katanya sebab outsource and kena queue. Punyalah merapek.

2, Customer service ke laut and beyond!

From missing appointment dates (as above shared), another act of bad customer service is on the day you select your photos. Yang ni, I memang ada baca dalam a few reviews. So mula2 lady boss akan tunjuk konon-konon ‘shortlisted photos from 300 over shots’ *hmmm ye la tu* with her ‘templated video slideshow’ yang kononnya dia susah payah design unique to every customer. Then she will present the pricing menu. Paling murah tak silap I RM380. And that’s for additional 6 photos. So klo nk sedap at least kena invest RM500++ (tak bape ingat exact figure) untuk dapat all photos in hi-res softcopy. RM500 over is too much for us. Klo takat tambah RM100 ke OK la lagi. So hubby and I decided to stick to just the groupon package.

Haa…the moment kita decide tak nak tambah duit, all hell let loose la. Muka lady boss dah hitam. Pastu dia paksa kita pilih gamba yang nk diprint cepat-cepat. Try to ugut yang gamba sume akan dibuang. Basically do things to make sure u regret tak tambah duit la. Hubby tgk perangai mcm tu dah pasrah je, so I la tukang make sure we still get the best out of this.

3. The final product quality. Extreme humiliation.

When I finally got the product, print was nice but the softcopy was a humiliation. It was soooo low-res that when I used it as my FB profile pic, it pixelized terribly. Sangat2 memalukan.

4. Additional things to improve: Photo shoot session could have been better if they asked customers what they want to achieve from the shoot instead of straight away go into the room then shoot here there and ask to change costume. Ie: I’d like a few shots of baby and then more shots of family. But because more focus was done on baby by the time we reached family shoot, baby Kaiser and Kakak Ayra was tired and cranky we didn’t get to do much different shots. Well at least we got the critical shots I wanted… which is the family shot!

Conclusion… I do not recommend this studio. Banyak lagi studio lain with good value for money. After I went through this, a friend recommended a studio kt PJ that she went to a few times. She started with Groupon package less than RM100 and got full hi-res photos, pro services and was very happy to recommend. Maknanya… option good studio kat luar sana banyak lagi so…
